A Case of Probable Superfetation

Abstract
|
|
|
Superfetation is the nesting of a second fetus in the uterus already occupied by one in the process of development.
In 1936, Studdiford maintained there was no proved case in the human being. Its occurrence seems most unlikely because ovulation is inhibited during pregnancy. Since that time two probable cases of superfetation were reported in the literature.
A case of twin delivery probably due to superfetation, two -full term babies delivered at 4months interval, was presented in this article.
